Wilmar, the laboratory was designed with a highly collaborative environment in mind. The laboratory is situated on the 3rd floor of the building, supporting a net area of 3,300 sqm. The 2000sqm bioprocess R&D and analytical laboratories comprise four BSL2 suites and lab support along the South façade of the building, a few analytical laboratories with shared equipment lab along the Oculus area and approximately 1300sqm Food innovation Lab on the North façade of the building.
Featuring collaborative and team-based lab and writing area arrangement while maximizing natural light penetrates deep into the lab to allow view control, this lab aims to have high safety standards while allowing flexibility for future expansion and modification. A large pantry area at the centre of the writing space aims for day-to-day open collaboration space between the various disciplines of the research headquarters.
